Fehras Publishing Practices
Fehras Publishing Practices is a multidisciplinary collective of cultural workers upholding emotional capital, grandmother's wisdom, and commitment to their ancestry and comrades. Operating at the intersection of archives, performance, and scenography, they approach cultural organization as a means of contesting hegemony and cultivating horizontal and vertical solidarities. Fehras examines the layered entanglements of past and enduring cultural production alongside historiography in Southwest Asia, North Africa, and their diasporic extensions. They draw on legacies of embodied practice and the transformative efforts of anti-colonial liberation movements. Fehras comprises Nancy Naser Al Deen, Sama Ahmadi, and Sami Rustom.
