Zippora Elders
Zippora Elders is a curator based between Amsterdam and Berlin. She is Director of Kunstfort bij Vijfhuizen, a UNESCO heritage site and art space in Haarlemmermeer, and Co-Curator of the international quadrennial sonsbeek20→24 in Arnhem. Previously, she was curator at Foam, the museum for photography in Amsterdam.
Elders studied Art History and Heritage Studies at the University of Amsterdam and VU University, with additional studies in philosophy, curatorial practice, and public administration. She writes regularly for Metropolis M and De Witte Raaf and teaches at art academies including Rietveld, KABK, and AHK.
She has served as advisor to Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, Mondrian Fund, and the Dutch Council for Culture, and as jury member for the Venice Biennale Dutch entry (2019), the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam acquisitions (2020), and De Appel Curatorial Programme (2021). She is guest curator of The Performance Show (Art Rotterdam) and Curator-at-Large at Fondation Constant. Her residencies include ABA Berlin, the Danish Arts Foundation (Copenhagen), EXPO Chicago, Kooshk Tehran, and HOW Museum Shanghai.
